Hello, I just came across your website . . .ran a search on Pennsylvania Child Support Obligee Support Group and this link came up. So I started reading it. It's a little hard on the eyes a little; there should be more space between the lines. Just a comment. Sounded like your view was representing fathers that pay. I'm a mother that pays. The courts wouldn't take the overtime off when they calculated my payment. I had to pay all the bills when he left and took the kids to his mother's - so I started working over and above overtime to make up for the bills due each month. He has not encouraged the kids to see me. It's been three years. The court in my opinion put a burden on my health, making me work that overtime. And I've heard that in another case where judges will tell you to go get 2 more jobs to pay the child support, even if you've lost your job, or the employer gives a pay cut. My attorney never prepared me for my testimony. I had to pay her. And now he lives with another women with 3 other younger kids, and she doesn't work. Probably on welfare. But I have to pay. I have resisted any raises because the more I make, the more he gets. I haven't worked overtime in two years and still paying that horrible child support. and I don't even get to see the kids. But I guess that's how the system goes. It doesn't matter if it's dads or mothers. You shouldn't be so one-sided about this matter unfavorable to dads. Either way you look at it, it only comes down to dollars and cents. That's what the attorney is interested in. And that's what the court's are truly interested in. It's not always the welfare of children. But CYS will tell you differently. Now, I'm so far off from ever reaching back to my mothering roots . . . . the kids get so brainwashed . . . . CYS can't even distinguish . . . not even divorce court . . . . it only comes down to dollars and cents . . . And those are some comments to you for whatever they are worth on this subject. Thank you for listening. |
