Dear
Congressman Toomey,
I just
watched you on PCN doing a talk show in Pittsburgh and I must say I wish there
were many more people like you running for the Senate.
It didn’t take me long to figure out exactly where you were coming from
and what you value most about America. I
felt that the political doublespeak and dodging of topics or questions that I am
so used to hearing from other candidates didn’t exist in anything I heard you
say. Your values and beliefs run
parallel to the majority of the mainstream, honest, and hardworking
Pennsylvanian’s. It’s time to
take back America from those who have slithered into an elected position that
has allowed them to start destroying everything that this country is based upon.
I don’t exaggerate when I say that something needs to be done in order
to get us back on track and believe it or not there are many, many more voters
that are starting to realize this. There
is much that needs to be corrected and from what I now know about you, I believe
that candidates like you are a great start to making those needed corrections.
As long as
you continue on in your campaign and after you are elected to the office or U.S.
Senator as a “strait shooter” whose actions and decisions are a product of
common sense and a basic recognition of the difference between basic right and
wrong, you can rest assured of having the support of myself and those associated
with my organization.
I won’t
waste your time with a lot of details in this e-mail because I know that you are
very busy and there are numerous issues that need attention.
ALL of the issues that I heard you discuss on the talk show, well, I
couldn’t agree more with you on each and every one.
I have one that is at the top of MY list and is very popular in
Pennsylvania and across America for that matter.
This issue or topic seems to be either ignored or avoided by those
holding elected offices. All I ask
is that you (personally) look at the website below, learn what is happening to
real people, and realize that the cause we are fighting for (to have the right
to be a parent to our own children and financially support those children’s legitimate
needs) is paramount to the survival of America as we know it; as America is
based on the traditional family and traditional values that are systematically
being erased by what I like to call the axis of evil within our own borders.
It kind of sounds silly that anyone would have to FIGHT for these basic
fundamental rights in America, doesn’t it?
Point
blank, the state of Pennsylvania, through its judiciary branch is in the
business of destroying families for profit from the federal government.
It was ADMITTED by a state official to one of our members, who just
happens to be an attorney, that the state will NEVER lower it’s excessive,
financially crippling, child support awards to reasonable because it would lose
too much federal money. Pennsylvania
is not alone as most other states are doing exactly the same thing, although
Pennsylvania is far worse than most. Child
custody and support are very closely related (although they try to say they
aren’t) because if a judge orders equal custody then the state loses federal
money if the standard transfer of money (child support) is not ordered.
We are convinced that this is the reason for all the fatherless children
because there are too many fathers that WANT equal time with their kids and
can’t seem to get it.
I am
spending a lot of time gathering real stories from Pennsylvania parents (mostly
fathers) who are having their kids and money stolen by Domestic Relations Courts
in this state that resemble the actions of dictatorships that were in power in
Nazi Germany and in power in various communist countries.
This is not, by any means, a fringe or extremist statement, it’s the
truth and one way or another as our membership grows, we are going to put an end
to it. There are hundreds of
thousands of parents both mothers and fathers in this state alone who have first
hand experience with this. Those
who have contacted their elected officials in an attempt to remedy this
situation have been ignored. There
have been legitimate constitutional challenges to the child custody and child
support practices of the state and petitions for the impeachment of corrupt
judges filed, all following the proper procedures, and ALL ARE BEING IGNORED by
our ELECTED officials. Fathers and
some mothers are being locked up in debtors prison every day for some court
imposed arbitrary debt. Is this
still America? Realistically, court
ordered “child support” in Pennsylvania is like buying an item at a store
that costs $100 and having some judge tell you that you WILL pay $10,000 for
that item and we WILL take the money from you and if we can’t take it from
your paycheck or if you don’t voluntarily hand it over, you WILL go to jail.
Is this America?
All I
want, and all each and every one of us wants, is the right to equal access to
our own children and the right to financially support our kids as we see fit,
not as some government agency (unaccountably and arbitrarily) sees fit to take
whatever they want from us. If we
don’t or can’t pay them what they demand, we go to jail.
For the record, nobody that I know of is against financially supporting
our kids and where it is necessary (proven criminal non-support of a child by
one parent or the other) for a court to confiscate money from one parent and
transfer it to the other as long as it is reasonable and accounted for, no
problem. I also find it sickening
that all these supposed government “fatherhood initiative” programs and
organizations are being allowed to ram the hypocritical messages that they do,
down the throats of American fathers. How
can any one of us be a true FATHER like (they are “asking”) to our kids when
they are TAKEN from us by a court and AWARDED to the other parent like some sort
of property? How can any father be
a father to his kids when he has to work three jobs in order to afford his rent,
basics, and pay excessive, arbitrary court ordered money to the child’s other
parent just so that he can stay out of jail?
Most dads don’t have money left over to spend on their own kids when
they are ALLOWED to have them. Sound
like slavery is alive again? It
does to me.
All we
want is what is fair...equal time with our kids and equal responsibility between
parents for financially supporting them. As
the laws are now, this is NOT the case. The
laws now benefit the state, destroy families, drive good fathers into poverty,
and hurt children.
