I am a father of two me and their mother broke up 4 years ago.  Since then I have been paying child support.  And although I pay child support the mother claims she never receives my checks and every time my children needs something she never has any money.  She always claims that she had to pay bills.  Since she has not been able to keep a job she basically does nothing for my children. I mainly buy their clothes pay for class trips, tokens for school, school supplies, summer school, shoes, sneakers, on top of paying 468.00 a month for child support.  I also have a home to upkeep and and I have my children on weekends. When I take them out and do things with them.  What upsets me is that what they call child support seems to be her support and there are no rules in place to see that the money I work hard for is going to my children.  It seems that she could literally just throw my money out the window and there is no one or no law to see that the children are being taken care of, but if I don't pay they send police to my door to arrest me. It just does not seem fair.
