I see I am not the only one going through this discrimination by child
support laws. Domestic relations makes sure they take excessive amounts of
money so the fathers cannot afford to fight for custody or even fight domestic
relation mistakes in income. I to have applied for assistance to get a fair
trail, but my gross pay is to high, if they go by net I would also
qualify. Domestic relations hearing officer who would not except evidence
of lower income because of a work related injury ,comp pay stub, and a doctors
note. He claims my injury is faked to get out of paying support, so
overestimated my income to almost $600.00 a month more than I receive. He
also states that I can get a part time job to make this income up, although if I
would do this I would probably loose workers comp. benefits, and also my medical
doctor says I cannot work until I have this injury fixed. I believe my
doctor has allot more experience in the medical field than the hearing officer,
who I believe simply discriminated against me because I am a father.
Children and youth has custody of our son. My ex in a hearing was given a
break in her net income for child support her over time was not figured in,
whereas my break, oh I don't one. In the appeal hearing my ex brought one
pay stub to the hearing with no overtime on it and testified although for a year
and half before she worked and now stopped before this hearing. The
hearing officer took this testimony as creditable why was hers but not
mine? She also collected support for children she did not have for 2 years
which she admits. I tried numerous times to have this dropped domestic
relations told me they don't and don't want to hear about it. I don't
collect any support for a child I don't have, and I don't know any fathers who
do either.
MY EX COLLECTED CHILD SUPPORT FOR 2 YEARS FOR A CHILD SHE DID NOT EVEN
HAVE. TRY TO GET THAT MONEY BACK, OR BETTER YET TRY TO HAVE DOMESTIC
RELATIONS STOP TAKING THE MONEY OUT OF YOUR PAY CHECK. EVERY TIME I TRIED
TO HAVE IT STOPPED MY EX WOULD TELL DOMESTIC RELATIONS SHE WILL TRY TO HAVE HIM
NOW, SO DOMESTICS STILL GIVES HER SUPPORT. DO YOU KNOW ANY FATHERS WHO
COLLECT SUPPORT FOR CHILDREN THEY DON'T HAVE? DOMESTICS TELLS ME WHEN I
CALL APPEAL THE HEARING, OR DON'T TAKE YOUR KIDS. I GUESS I COULD APPEAL
THE HEARING IF I WAS COLLECTING SUPPORT, I DON'T KNOW A ATTORNEY WHO WILL DO
THIS FREE, AND SINCE I LOVE MY KIDS I GUESS NOT TAKING THEM IS OUT OF THE
QUESTION. I JUST HAD A HEARING IN THE MASTER OFFICE AT SCHUYLKILL COUNTY
COURT HOUSE AND WHEN I BROUGHT THIS UP TO THE HEARING OFFICER HE TOLD ME I DON'T
CARE I DON'T WANT TO HEAR ABOUT IT. I GUESS HE STILL RECEIVES A FULL PAY
CHECK TAX DOLLARS AT WORK. I WONDER WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF I WOULD DO THIS,
I WONDER IF THEN HE WOULD CARE. I BET HE WOULD!
