There is a new senate bill that is supposed to be aimed at reforming the criminal Pennsylvania Domestic Relations issues that we are faced with. It is SB275 which can be read by clicking here. This is a long meaningless bill introduced by our friend Senator Stewart Greenleaf that does absolutely nothing to reform the current system of removing a child or children for one parent and awarding them to the other along with a large, excessive, unreasonable amount of money they like to call "child support". You see, Stewart likes things the way they are and has no intentions of ending the current unconstitutional regime that is in place. So, you think as a father, you have equal rights to your own child in Pennsylvania, think again... you don't because Stewart says so.
Attorney Gene Wrona has written his own excellent revised version of SB275 which can be viewed and compared by (link removed). Also, here is a letter from Gene to the sponsors of SB275 that outlines the deficiency of this bill. Call your elected state senator and encourage him or her to support the revised version of SB275. It is very important that you CALL YOUR STATE SENATOR AND ASK HIM OR HER sponsor or TO SIGN ON AS A CO-SPONSOR TO THE REVISED VERSION THAT YOU WILL HAVE AVAILABLE TO SHOW THEM.
The fact is that Senator Stewart Greenleaf doesn't want to change anything and likes the idea that any judge or "court employee" in most cases has the authority to take your kids and your money without just cause or legitimate reason required. He likes the fact that the state of Pennsylvania is profiting at the expense you YOU and YOUR KIDS and you don't have the money to do anything about it. Don't forget to write to Stewart and let him know that you are aware of this and his actions will reflect in your VOTE when he is up for re-election.
We believe that Senator Stewart Greenleaf is the PROBLEM here in Pennsylvania and we will be kicking off an campaign to unseat Senator Greenleaf and replace him with someone that will fix the unconstitutional and criminal things that this state does to fathers or any court ordered non-custodial parent for that matter. READ THIS Stewart Greenleaf seems to like things the way they are and it is my understanding that Stewart is responsible for the domestic violence laws and doesn't think there is anything wrong with them even though in reality they are the single most utilized tool to remove fathers from their kids. Stewart Greenleaf is the head of the Senate Judiciary Committee, where any meaningful legislation that involves reforming DOMESTIC RELATIONS LAW SEEMS TO DIE. Click here for a reply recently sent to PFCR regarding Stewart Greenleaf. Apparently there are others that want Senator Greenleaf removed from office. He doesn't seem to represent truth and justice but he does represent un-constitutional legislation that will create huge profits for the state of Pennsylvania and his lawyer buddies.
House Bill 2041 is set to be introduced by Representative Tom Stevenson in the 2005 legislative session. I have the latest draft, but will wait until it is introduced to post it. In my honest opinion, this legislation does not go far enough to protect the rights of both parents to their kids and leaves the fraudulent PFA avenue wide open without penalty for those who falsely accuse fathers in order to obtain primary custody and the big child support check that comes with it.
