Dear Senator LaValle:

I am currently reviewing Recommendation 67 (Child Supports Guidelines Review), and preparing my comments to the Domestic Relations Procedural Rules Committee. To fully understand the subject matter and the process, I requested information from this Committee (email to Ms. Miles dated Jan. 15). My request for public information was denied (email from Ms. Miles dated Jan 20). Ms. Miles response prompted me to submit two Freedom of Information requests (FAXs dated Feb 2); one to the Domestic Procedural Rules Committee and one to the Department of Public Welfare.

I believe all the information I am seeking is a matter of public record, and should be disclosed to the public. Additionally, all meeting conducted by this committee should be open to the public.

Of immediate concern, is the meeting to be held by the Domestic Relations Procedural Rules Committee, which is scheduled in Philadelphia sometime in February. I would deeply appreciate your intervention to determine the exact date, time, and location (physical address) of this meeting.

Any assistance you can provide to obtain the information that I have requested from the Department of Welfare, and Domestic Relations Procedural Rule Committee will also be much appreciated.

Thank you for your consideration of my request. Please feel free to call me should you need more information. I look forward your response.

Yours truly,

Jay H. Todd Jr.
