Dear Ms. Miles, Your quote: "Protection From Abuse orders are granted or denied on the basis of whether or not the evidence presented meets the standard of abuse set forth in the statute at 23 Pa. C.S. section 6102. A party who does not agree with the trial court's decision has the right of appeal to the Superior Court. While temporary support may be ordered under the act, the plaintiff must promptly make a regular filing through domestic relations to establish an ongoing order. In addition, while temporary child custody may also be awarded in a PFA action, recent case law reiterated that the court still must make a determination as to the best interests of the child before awarding custody, even in a PFA case. Divorce, equitable distribution, alimony, etc. cannot be addressed in a PFA action. " ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Good luck getting to the superior court after you've been dismantled by the PFA. A PFA that was not warranted. The simple statement "He said he was going to get his friend to kill me" got me put out of my home for 13 months! This is total blindness on your part. I am the victim of a temporary and full PFA. It is used as a tool for many women's organizations in order to cripple the father by denying him access to his children, bank accounts, credit cards, files in his home, and let's not forget the emotional distress and loss of employment that usually results from of execution of the TPFA. 10 days with nowhere to live? 15 minutes to gather any of your belongings, but you don't get to take anything the wife objects to... like your check book, or your credit card, or cash, or even your favorite coat. If she says no, you don't get it. Talk about instigating a person into taking action to survive. Statistics show very little has been accomplished by issuing temporary PFAs. In fact, it just enrages both sides. I'm now 1 and a half years out of a crossing full year PFA issuance that destroyed the kids, the house, and to this day, I'm still paying lawyers in order to get out of your legislative vortex of greed. These laws do nothing but generate hate, but hate generates money for the system, and the system feeds YOU. These women's groups have checklists to destroy a man and they don't even verify if the woman is telling the truth or is eligible for their funding and help. They just throw the father out and give the mother a 10 day free pass to destroy all he owns and they throw in a free lawyer to boot. All on my hard earned tax money. Who watches over these government funded organizations that throw around PFAs like confetti. Judges from half way across the state benefit from these funds each time they sign one too. (My opinion) Would you like to see the criminal acts that happened in my case? I didn't think so. Next time, listen to Susan Wolpin (FACE) and the rest of the people who support laws that may lighten your pocketbook, but will bring peace to many in the courtrooms. You people can't help but to look like the legislative orangutans on the original "planet of the apes". BTW... I don't think that Alimony Pendente Lite falls under "etc." in your last sentence regarding PFAs. You people simply want more money. The J.A.I.L. initiative is a great idea as well, don't you think? I know... you never heard of it, right? Thomas |

Information and opinions on this website are NOT "legal" advice but ARE friendly advice from people who have been through the local domestic relations office and are very familiar with the crimes against humanity that office is getting away with strictly for PROFIT at the expense of fathers and their children. It's time to reclaim our state and our rights as Americans that are being trampled and ignored by a select portion of our state government, who's sole interest is PROFIT from federal grants for "child support" collection, at our expense... our JUDICIAL branch.
